Dorset Holiday Cottages in a stunning location

Discover our five luxury self catering Dorset Holiday Cottages situated on 650 acres of farm land near Dorchester, Dorset. This part of Dorset is an area of outstanding natural beauty and abundant wildlife situated on the edge of the South Wessex Downs, South West England. Bookham Court holiday cottages offer a superb location for couples or families to visit Dorset and enjoy both the Dorset countryside and Jurassic Coast. Stay in our Dorset holiday cottages which are also an Eco and dog friendly holiday destination.

Dorchester & Dorset Countryside

Bookham Court Dorset holiday cottages enjoy panoramic views over the Blackmore Vale, made famous by Thomas Hardy with his celebrated novel Tess of the D’Urbervilles. Thomas Hardy also wrote the Mayor of Casterbridge (Dorchester!), Jude the Obscure and Far from the madding crowd; areas viewed when walking the Hardy Trail footpath. We have Highland cows and you can watch birds, deer and other wildlife from the comfort of your patio or get away from it all by roaming around our wildlife lake or a walk along the Wessex Ridgeway with magnificent views from Bullbarrow Hill.
Our Dorset holiday cottages are within easy access of both Dorchester and Sherborne yet just 20 miles from the traditional English seaside resort of Weymouth. Our holiday cottage guests are never too far from South Dorset’s wonderful sites, with country gardens, castles, museums and the Jurrasic coast and beaches all close at hand. There are many excellent eating establishments nearby, with the Gaggle of Geese pub near our Dorset holiday cottages as well as the Old Chapel stores in Buckland Newton. There is more information on our ‘Local Attractions & Wildlife’ pages; so many good reasons to enjoy your holiday in our Dorset holiday cottages..
