Bookham Court consists of 4 luxury self catering Dorset farm cottages situated on 650 acres of farm land near Dorchester, Dorset; an area of outstanding natural beauty and abundant wildlife on the edge of the South Wessex Downs, South West England. The four farm cottages are equipped to a high standard and provide the perfect family holiday location for visitors to enjoy both the surrounding Dorset countryside and the Jurassic Coast.
Our Dorset farm cottages are close to a number of footpaths, including the Thomas Hardy Trail and the Wessex Way. Bookham Court farm cottages also provide access to a fishing lake with coarse fishing available free of charge. The cottages are situated on our family farm and guests are welcome to fish in the lake and roam the farm to view our amazing wildlife and visit the farm animals. Bookham Court is within easy access of both Dorchester and Sherborne and only 20 miles from the traditional seaside town of Weymouth. Guests are never too far from South Dorset's wonderful sites. Country gardens, castles, abbeys, museums and the Jurrasic coast are all close at hand, with something for everyone just waiting to be discovered. There are also many excellent eating establishments within a few miles of Bookham Court cottages, with the Gaggle of Geese in Buckland Newton reopening in May 2018 and a good village shop, also in Buckland Newton.
